Portobello, Edinburgh
Garden Room Extension
Extension to a listed Georgian home
A growing young family, meant that additional living space was required in this listed Georgian home within the Portobello Conservation Area. By creating a simple diagonal roof ridge, we opened up the space to the light and garden as well as creating a high volume. Timber louvres were added onto the street side to prevent overlooking. The garden facade is clad in a scorched larch timber, and the sliding door was coloured British Racing Green.
